"Camelback" Jack began his broadcasting career in 1970, and has done radio all over the country, including legendary stations, WKY, KLZ, KAAY, and KRIZ in Phoenix.

In addition to local radio shows, he was co host for the nationally syndicated weekly radio show, "Your Goodtime Oldies Magazine," heard on over 400 radio stations nationwide, from 1994 - 1998.

He also hosted the nationally syndicated weekly radio show, "Keepin' the 70's Alive," as well as the nationally syndicated daily radio show, "Behind the Hits," from 2000 - 2003

Over the years he has been the station voice for various radio stations across the country. He has voiced thousands of radio and television commercials, including personal endorsements both for local clients and well as national clients, including, Barilla Pasta, Nissan, Red Lobster, Onstar, Aamco, Olive Garden Monster.com, Swiffer Wet, Johnsonville Products, Hi-Health, Black Angus, GM, and others.

He has also been involved in numerous other voice projects including books, live narration for multimedia productions, training videos, industrial videos, infomercials, sales presentations, concert presentations and master of ceremonies.

Before moving to Phoenix in 1992, he lived in California where he worked for a couple of small radio stations and had his own service company.

Recent History: The last 16 years

He moved back to Phoenix in 1992 and began working for KOOL-FM, and held the afternoon drive shift from spring of 1996 to December of 2008. Due to economic cutbacks, his contract was not renewed.

KOOL-FM History
After taking over the midday slot on KOOL-FM, in 1993, Jack brought the ratings from 14th to 3rd, 25-54; from a 4.2 to 7.0.

Moving to afternoon drive in 1996, Jack brought the ratings from 5th to 1st, 25-54; from a 5.9 to 7.6.

He was awarded, "Best Afternoon Show" in 1999 at the Phoenix AIR awards.
Jack continued to be a dominant force on Phoenix radio in afternoon drive. Over the last 11 years Jack's show has been the most successful afternoon drive show in the Phoenix market. He has been ranked in the top 3 many more times than any other afternoon personality in Phoenix radio. Most recently, in the Summer 2007 ARB rating period, 25-54, Jack was ranked 3rd.

Jack, while not a Veteran himself has become a great "friend" of Veterans here in Arizona, recognizing all Veterans and raising thousands of dollars for the Arizona State Veteran's Home. He has been invited to speak and host many functions, including the annual Navy Ball at Luke AFB

He has received numerous awards from various Veterans organization, including the prestigious, "Band of Brothers." This award, from the Director of the Arizona Department of Veteran Services, was present to Jack, live on the radio, by Medal of Honor Recipient, Fred Ferguson, and has only been presented to three people in Arizona.

Jack has received a number of public service awards, most recently in the summer of 2008, from the National Parks and Recreation Association for his help with the first annual, National Get Outdoors Day, presented to him at Salt River Recreation in the Tonto National Forrest.

Jack was the host for Fulton Homes, "Be KOOL, Stay in School" program for 5 years. He interviewed middle school children on the radio throughout the year, and then was the master of ceremonies for the awards banquet.

Jack was the emcee for the Breakfast Club America for two years, 2005 and 2006.

His other community activities include speaking at various organizations, regular speaking engagement at the Phoenix Rescue Mission, and contributions to web sites.
